On April 19th, the final event and conference of the "Smart Industry" competition took place at Vilnius City Hall. This project, held for the second time in Lithuania, was organized by the business newspaper "Verslo žinios", the Confederation of Lithuanian Industrialists, the professional services company "EY" (UAB "Ernst & Young Baltic"), and the Public Institution "Lithuanian Innovation Center".
According to the event organizers, the aim of this project is to create a visible long-term communication platform for industry clients, suppliers, employees, the entire industrial sector, and government, where the greatest transformation of Lithuania's largest sector would be demonstrated based on objective information and best practices. It is expected that the progress and results achieved by the industrial sector over time will provide visibility to the sector itself and the entire surrounding ecosystem, as well as enhance our country's competitiveness. Through this project, ongoing progress of industrial companies will be pursued, which will increase their significant contribution to the country's economy, citizen welfare, and responsible approach to sustainable production.
We take pride in being one of the smartest industrial companies in Lithuania - during the conference, the smartest Lithuanian industrial companies were selected and awarded. In this competition, we presented the Kaunas Grain fast-prepared products factory, located in Alytus. During the event, the company's CEO, Andrius Pranckevicius, shared insights in the discussion "Access to capital for industrial transformation: mission (im)possible".
We thank the organizers of the competition for placing us among industry leaders - it is a great achievement and inspiration to create innovative solutions and raise the standards of Lithuanian industry.
