  • Principles of not demanding unjustified discounts or compensations from any suppliers during supplier selection, decision-making on prices, or any other procurement processes.
  • Principles of having no personal interests with any suppliers.
  • Principles of not receiving, demanding, and/or promising unjustified benefits (money, goods, hospitality, services, etc.) that could influence decision-making.

Relationships with suppliers
The procurement activities of the Purchasing Department, Buyers, and other individuals involved in purchasing at "Kauno Grūdai" maintain a fair, impartial, and ethical approach to suppliers and seek to create working relationships (appropriate partnerships) based on trust.

By requiring our suppliers to provide quality products at the lowest possible cost within agreed-upon deadlines, we collaborate with them, encouraging environmental ideas and socially responsible business. Additionally, we expect long-term collaboration from our suppliers, aiming to maintain friendly and mutually beneficial relationships based on fair business principles.

Supplier assessment
The Purchasing Department of "Kauno Grūdai" regularly conducts a fair, transparent, objective, and reasoned evaluation of suppliers to maintain stable relationships with the best suppliers in terms of technology, quality, price, supply capabilities, management, and stability aspects of social responsibility.

"Open-door" policy and equal competition
"Kauno Grūdai" sincerely values every company interested in becoming our supplier or partner, providing each with an unbiased and fair opportunity to do so, regardless of nationality, region, or size. For those not becoming our partners for certain reasons, the reasons are specified.

Confidentiality
The procurement activities of the Purchasing Department, Buyers, and other individuals involved in purchasing at "Kauno Grūdai" ensure the confidentiality of each supplier, do not use any confidential information obtained during certain (or any) procurement processes for public disclosure, except in cases where doubts arise about the transaction (or it is in danger).

Green procurement
The procurement activities of the Purchasing Department, Buyers, and other individuals involved in purchasing at "Kauno Grūdai" comply with existing environmental requirements and laws. As a socially responsible company, we give priority to the procurement of products with a lower environmental impact and/or that are environmentally friendly.

Supplier Code of Conduct
The Supplier Code of Conduct defines the behavior, processes, and procedures that we expect from our suppliers. All suppliers must adhere to this Supplier Code of Conduct, as well as all other applicable laws and regulations. In selecting suppliers, "Kauno Grūdai" takes into consideration, among other commercial aspects, how well these requirements are met. We expect our suppliers to consistently strive to uphold social responsibility and environmental stewardship in all business relationships in every country where they conduct their activities. The Supplier Code of Conduct is considered a contractual document and is an integral part of any agreement entered into between "Kauno Grūdai" companies and a supplier.
